The 22nd Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will take place online on May 19-28 and our film “Wings of the Great War” will participate normally.
The 22nd Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, which was postponed due to the extraordinary global pandemic of Covid-19, will be held online from Tuesday 19 May to Thursday 28 May 2020, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports
More relevant than ever, in this unprecedented situation, the documentaries that will be screened at the online 22nd Festival remind us what it means to be human, what is our relationship with nature, how vulnerable and at the same time how strong we are. Get ready for exciting (mental) journeys around the world! Among the films, do not miss 77 Greek recent productions: from politics, music and history, the environment, human relations and human rights.
The jury will watch the films online and award the prizes.
Οι ταινίες θα είναι διαθέσιμες δωρεάν για το κοινό και κάθε ταινία θα διατίθεται για 400 θεάσεις, σε χρήστες αποκλειστικά στην Ελλάδα, καθώς το Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης έχει αναλάβει μια διεθνή πρωτοβουλία για την καθιέρωση του γεωγραφικού περιορισμού των προβολών στις online φεστιβαλικές διοργανώσεις, με σκοπό την προστασία των ταινιών και των φεστιβάλ.
The Festival is in constant cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the health authorities and when and if the developments allow it, it will consider the possibility of holding festival screenings in summer cinemas and in open spaces (port, squares, parks, etc.).
